Anderson Creek borders a developing residential community about 20 minutes north of Fayetteville and Fort Bragg and about an hour east of Pinehurst.

The layout is very similar to the sandhills area around Pinehurst, with heavy pine tree-lined fairways lined with fescue, six holes with water hazards, and sand bunkers guarding both the landing zones and the greens. It was designed by Davis Love III and plays to 7,215 yards from the tips, 75.9/140 course/slope ratings with four other sets of tees.
