Bayonet Golf Club at Puppy Creek is between Pinehurst and Fayetteville off US 401.

The layout is parkland style winding through fairways lined by oak and red maples and a change of pace from the Pinehurst area. It traverses rolling and sloping fairways with numerous doglegs, sand bunkers along the fairways and greens, and Puppy Creek bisecting the course from north to south in addition to multiple ponds. It plays to 7,021 yards, 74.0/142, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees, designed by Willard Byrd.
