Auglaize GC is a few miles southwest of Defiance along the Auglaize River.

The front 9 is completely surrounded by the River bounding over level terrain along tree lined fairways while the backside is more open and forgiving off the tee. It's an enjoyable layout with a balance of challenging holes along narrow fairways while others are more open and forgiving, but with water in play on 13 holes overall. It's 6,450 from the tips, 70.0/117, course/slope ratings and 6,195 yards from the White tees, 69.1/115, designed by William Spear in the mid-1950s
