Bangor Municipal is a 27 hole course squeezed into a tract of land on the east side of the airport at I-95 and I-395 bordering the Bangor Raceway.

The layout is a parkland style design traversing generally broad, tree lined fairways along numerous slight doglegs with sand bunkers positioned around the greens and the occasional fairway landing zone. The 18 hole course plays to 6,335 yards from the tips, 69.2/119 course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. The Kelly nine plays to 3,215 yards from the tips, 70.8/132, course/slope for 18 holes, a Geoffrey Cornish design.
