Bluff Point is located on the western shore of Lake Champlain just south of the Plattsburgh International Airport.

The routing is on Lake Champlain with the Green Mountains of Vermont to the east and the Adirondacks to the west. The layout is an entertaining parkland style design over hilly terrain along numerous water hazards with the front nine possessing more character and challenge than the backside. It is allegedly the oldest resort golf course in the US and the third oldest golf course. It was designed by the master A.W. Tillinghast in 1890 and from the back tees is 6,309 yards, 70.5/126, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. Tillinghast designed Winged Foot, Baltusrol among others, and while this course doesn't measure up to those standards, it's a treat to play.
