The Brook is in Waukegan on the far north side of Chicago near the Wisconsin border just off I-94 at Gurnee Mills.

The golf course is an interesting, parkland design over rolling fairways with Yeoman Creek running through the middle of the layout creating numerous ponds/lakes/wetlands. It's generally straightforward, save for several slight doglegs, with sand traps primarily guarding the modest greens. It's an ancient layout from the 1920s and from the Blue tees it's 6,304 yards, 70.3/123, course/slope ratings, designed by James Foulis.
