Stonewall Orchard is in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago near the Wisconsin state line in the Grayslake area west of Rt 45 on Rt 60.

The layout provides an interesting and varied design with links and parkland design elements situated on a large, natural tract of land surrounded and bordered by wetlands and deep woods. There's a blend of open fairways defined by tall fescue grasses and those that are tree-lined. Additionally, there are slight and dramatic doglegs, various shapes and sizes of sand traps, and water hazards in play on over half the holes. It can play up to 7,124 yards, 75.0/150, and course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees designed by Arthur Hills.
