Bourne Golf Course is literally out in the middle of a corn or soybean field depending on the crop rotation, just off I-80 between Joliet and Peru. You'll know you've arrived when you see the nose dived airplane in the field.
It's a scenic layout and setting with a variety of holes which are wide open off some of the tees while others are along narrow, isolated corridors. The routing features significant elevation change, trees in the middle of fairways, a host of doglegs, and multiple blind shots. It was designed by the owner Dick Wherli and plays to 6,355 yards, 70.0/123, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
