Brookhill is north of Champaign on the north side of Rantoul off I-57 at exit 250 to the northeast, surrounded by farmland.

The layout is a parkland-style design journeying along tree-lined fairways over level terrain. Ponds and streams impact play on several holes, and there are a generous number of sand bunkers along the fairways and greens. Larry Packard designed it, and it plays to a total of 6,597 yards, 71.1/123 course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.
