Lake of the Woods is 15 minutes northwest of Champaign off exit 174 of I-74 with am 18 hole, championship level layout and a 9 hole, par 3 course.

The main course is a parkland design lumbering over the rolling contours of the Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve with homes on only a few holes. The fairways are lined with trees along with five ponds and a generous amount of sand traps bordering the fairways and defending the greens. There's four sets of tees from 5,070 yards to 6,578 yards at the tips, the white tees play to 6,214 yards, 69.5/120, course/slope ratings, designed by Robert Harris.
