Buffalo Hill is located along the Stillwater River on the north side of Kalispell.

The Championship course is a challenging layout with narrow, tree-lined, rolling, and sloping fairways, water hazards, and the River in play on over half the holes, numerous doglegs, and sand bunkers generally guarding the modest, contoured, and sloping greens. The course was designed by Robert Muir Graves and from the Championship tees is 6,605 yards, with a 77.2/137, course/slope ratings slope with two shorter tees.
