Bulrush is an hour north of the Twin Cities and adjoins I-35 to the west at the Rush Lake Road exit.

The golf course is part of a real estate development and a blend of links and parkland designs along a mix of wide open and forested fairways. Water is the dominant feature here, with Rush Creek snaking through the course from east to west and numerous ponds and sand bunkers swallowing off-line shots. There are four sets of tees, from 6,929 at the tips to 5,871 yards from the forward tees. The white tees are 6,573 yards, 72.1/131 course/slope ratings, designed by George Shortridge.
