Purple Hawk Country Club is an hour north of the Twin Cities off I-35 to Cambridge then north on MN 65.

The layout marches over a large, natural tract of land on the east side of Long Lake. It's a parkland style design along generally wide fairways off the tee with numerous water hazards in play and moderately well bunkered along the fairways and guarding the generous greens. It's a challenging, par 72 layout playing to 6,711 yards from the back tees, 70.4/135, course/slope ratings, designed by Don Herfort with three shorter sets of tees.
