Butternut Creek is a municipal golf course just off downtown Blairsville owned by Union County.

The layout is a parkland design roaming over rolling terrain with a mix of broad and narrow, tree lined fairways. There's water in play on 13 holes including Butternut Creek and a minimal amount of sand bunkers. It's challenging, but playable with the Blue tees playing to 6,023 yards, 69.0/113, course/slope ratings, originally the Haralson Estate Club with a new nine added in the 1980s by Bill Watts.
