Old Union is in Blairsville in the Chattahooche National Forest on the north side of town off US 19.

The golf course has a links feel with stands of hardwood trees at the borders of the broad, mounded fairways. It moves along Ivylog Creek and numerous lakes and ponds with a moderate amount of sand traps at the fairways and around the greens. It's the longest course in Georgia at 7,667 yards, the White tees play to 6,332 yards, 71.0/132, course/slope ratings with two shorter and two longer tees available, designed by Denis Griffiths.
