California Golf Course is part of the city's park systems and situated on a hill overlooking the Ohio River at Kellogg Avenue off I-275 on the southeast side of town.

The layout ambles along fairways lined with trees with a series of holes along two reservoirs. It's generally straightforward with numerous parallel fairways save for the occasional dogleg and features a modest amount of sand bunkers defending many of the mid-sized, oval greens. It's 6,245 yards from the blue tees, 69.8/120, course/slope ratings with two shorter tee boxes with design work by Kidwell & Hurdzan.
