Hickory Sticks is 30 minutes south of Covington along the Ohio River, 15 minutes south of I-275.

The layout lumbers along tree lined fairways over hilly terrain in a scenic setting surrounded by deep forest. It's entertaining with potentially drivable par 4s, reachable par 5s in two, and a challenging set of par 3s. There's a large lake and several ponds, and sand bunkers guarding half of the greens as hazards. It's short at 6,148 yards from the tips, 69.1/131, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
