Cascata is located toward Boulder City south of Henderson, 30 minutes from the Strip. Due to its cost to develop, it has been dubbed "The Eighth Wonder of the Golf World."

The golf course climbs through the Nevada desert canyons, ridges, and hills along the lush green, isolated fairways with a ribbon of rough and natural desert terrain at the fairways' borders. The course has a variety of significant elevation changes, sugary white sand bunkers, and several water features, including waterfalls, lakes, and streams. It's a Rees Jones design and measures 7,137 yards, 74.6/143, course/slope from the tips with three shorter tees.
