Chimera is on the southeast side of Las Vegas between Boulder Highway and Lake Las Vegas in a residential development.

The course rambles through the community and along desert landscape with views of the mountains and the Strip. It's fair off the tee along broad fairway corridors with several water hazards and a generous amount of sand bunkers both at the landing zones and defending the greens. It plays to 6,906 yards from the tips, 72.4/132, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Ted Robinson.
