Centennial is on the southeast side of Oak Ridge about 30 minutes northwest of Knoxville on the west side of Melton Hill Lake.

The layout winds along broad and narrow, tree lined fairways over rolling terrain with mostly natural corridors, but homes do line several of the fairways. In terms of hazards, there's just a few water hazards, but a generous amount and variety of sand bunkers defending the greens and the occasional fairway. It was designed by Gary Roger Baird in the late 1990s with tees from 4,803 to 6,603 yards, the Green tees are 6,144 yards, 69.9/127, course/slope ratings.
