Cuyuna Rolling Hills is on the east side of Serpent Lake, 20 minutes northeast of Brainerd in Deerwood.

The golf course is a true "Northwoods" layout sculpted through the forest over rolling topography, providing views over the lakes and the golf course along isolated corridors. There are numerous ponds and streams in play, sand bunkers defending many of the greens, a variety of doglegs, and trees lining all the fairways. The course originated as a 9-hole layout in the 1920s designed by Harry Middlebrook, the second nine added by Don Herfort in the late 1980s. There are four sets of tees from 5,686 yards to 6,388 yards at the tips, with 71.5/135 course/slope ratings.
