The Cypress Creek Golf Club is off I-75 at the Sun City exit, which is to the east, midway between Bradenton and Tampa.

The golf course was laid into a natural wetlands reserve over level terrain with homes bordering the exterior fairways. The layout features an abundance of wetlands, ponds, and lakes as it navigates fairways and greens defended by various shapes and sizes of sand bunkers. There are five sets of tees from 4,739 yards to 6,808 yards off the back tees, with the middle tees playing to 5,974 yards, 69.2/127, course/slope ratings, designed by Dean Refram and Steve Smyers.
