Cypresswood has two 18-hole layouts in North Houston just north of the George Bush Airport between I-45 and I-69.

Both layouts are similar in design, along with heavily wooded terrain bordering the Spring and Cypress Creeks. The courses are straightforward, with a heavy emphasis on large and deep sand bunkers, ravines, creeks, and ponds, with tall pines, live oaks, and magnolia-lined fairways and without homes or development along the holes. The Tradition is an updated design by Keith Foster and is slightly longer and more challenging, while Cypress is a shotmaker's layout with water hazards in play on the majority of the holes. The Tradition plays to 7,220 yards, 74.6/140, course/slope ratings, and the Cypress, a Rick Forester design, is 6,906 yards, 72.8/127 course/slope ratings, both from the tips with three shorter tees.
