Denson's Creek is about 30 minutes south of Asheboro off I-73/74 at Biscoe in the Uwharrie Mountains.

The layout is a traditional Carolina-style course meandering along pine and hardwood, tree-lined fairways over rolling contours. It's an interesting and varied layout requiring course management along the fairways with a moderate amount of sand traps and several ponds leading to modest, well-defended greens. It was designed by Phil McCriston with four sets of tees from 4,789 to 6,725 yards, the Blues are at 6,145 yards, 71.7/124, course/slope ratings.
