The Detroit Country Club is between Lake Sallie and Lake Melissa just south of Detroit Lakes and 1 1/2 hours east of Fargo in Minnesota's north-central lake region. It has an 18-hole executive layout and a championship 18-hole course.

The Pine to Palm is the championship-level layout. It is a traditional design winding along broad, tree-lined fairways over rolling terrain with several water features and well-bunkered greens. It plays to a total yardage of 6,106 yards from the blue tees, 69.6/128, course/slope ratings for a par of 71 with three shorter tees. The Lakeview Course plays to a par of 64 with nine par threes, eight par fours, and a closing par five. It's similar in design to the Pine to Palm as it traverses tree-lined fairways over slightly rolling terrain. From the tips, it plays to a length of 4,307 yards, 60.8/101, course/slope ratings.
