Doral is due west of Miami International Airport with 72 holes of golf and home to one of the PGA Tour's perennial stops in South Florida.
The TPC Blue Monster is the classic, tournament layout with water as the dominant feature and in play on the majority of the holes. It also provides for an overwhelming variety of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers defending the fairways and the generous greens. The golf course designed by Dick Wilson who originally designed Bay Hill, Dubsdread at Cog Hill, La Costa, among others, and was updated by Gil Hanse. The course is long at 7,608, 77.4/146, course/slope ratings from the tournament tees with four shorter tees,
The Red Tiger course is a routine, Florida style layout along palm and native tree lined fairways with water hazards in play on most holes and sand bunkers through the fairways and defending the modest greens, and features two island greens. It's 6,395 yards, 71.8/136, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees, and was also designed by Dick Wilson with redesign work by 2016 Olympic golf course architect Gil Hanse.
The Silver layout has water in play on 16 holes and a large amount and variety of sand bunkers along narrow fairways leading to generous greens with slight undulations-a true shotmaker's layout. The course redesigned by Jim McLean with additional design work by Gil Hanse, and from the tips plays to 7,006 yards, 74.9/148, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
The Golden Palm layout has much the same features as the Blue Monster as it traverses wide open fairways along a generous amount of sand traps and water hazards with palm tree lined fairways over level terrain. The golf course was designed by Ted McAnlis, redesigned by Raymond Floyd with additional work by Gil Hanse and plays to 7,012 yards, 74.2/139, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees.
