Castle Mound is north of LaCrosse about 10 miles on US 53.

The course is challenging to play as it traverses tree lined fairways over rolling terrain along with several water hazards and numerous sand bunkers both in the landing zones and guarding the modest greens. It's 6,642 yards from the tips, 72.6/124, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Jim Chia in the early 1980s.
