Forest Hills is a classic, municipal golf course owned by the city of La Crosse located on the south side of town at exit 4 off I-90 on the east side of the Hixon Forest Park.

The course's fairways are at the foot of the bluffs in La Crosse and move through corridors of trees with a modest amount of sand bunkers both in the fairways and greenside and water hazards in play on three holes. It's a scenic setting without homes or development with numerous elevated tees providing endless views. It's a short layout at 6,075 yards from the back tees, 69.3/128, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
