Dyker Beach Golf Course is classic New York City golf with a slow pace of play and basic conditioning. On the bright side, it's 15 minutes from Manhattan and reasonably priced to play. It's located on the north side of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in Brooklyn, close to the Belt/Shore Parkway.

It's a fairly flat, parkland-style layout meandering along tree-lined fairways with spectacular views of the Bridge. There are 30+ sand bunkers in play and wetlands bordering three holes, but it is otherwise very straightforward. It plays to 6,438 yards from the tips, a par of 71, 70.6/118, course and slope ratings with two shorter tees. It was originally designed by Thomas Bendelow and reworked in 1935 by John Van Kleek.
