E Gaynor Brennan is a classic, municipal golf course on the near north side of Stamford off exit 6 of I-95.

The compact layout is along narrow, tree lined fairways with the occasional water hazard and blind shot, and a host of sand bunkers mostly guarding the modest, raised greens. It's a relatively short and inconsistent layout at 5,931 yards from the blue tees, 69.5/121, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. The golf course was originally a private golf club with the first nine opening in 1922 and the second nine in 1925, designed by Maurice McCarthy.
