The Esquire Golf Course is 20 minutes southeast of downtown Huntington in Barboursville located in a residential development with the Guyandotte River encircling the course.

The golf course is a straightforward and playable, parkland layout with the fairways defined by trees over generally level terrain. There's several water hazards in play, but no sand bunkers with the primary challenge the small, contoured greens. The course was designed by Xenophon Hassenplug in the mid-1970s and plays to 6,905 yards from the tips, 72.2/116, course/slope ratings with three shorter sets of tee boxes.
