Sugarwood is 5 minutes south of Huntington on WV 152.

The golf course cruises through a small valley over rolling hills and along tree lined fairways. There's a moderate amount of sand bunkering, an abundance of streams and ponds, and tiered and sloping greens adding to the challenge. From the tips the course plays to 6,710 yards, 70.7/131, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees with redesign work by Ed Allen.
