Fox Lake is on the south side of Fox Lake 10 minutes north of Beaver Dam and 30 minutes southeast of Fond du Lac.

The golf course is a mix of traditional and links designs with half the fairways tree lined while the balance are open and links-style. The layout roams over level ground along natural corridors with occasional views of the Lake. The routing is straightforward with gentle doglegs, water hazards on half the holes, and sand bunkers bordering with mid-sized, oval greens. There's three sets of tees overall, the white tees play to 5,939 yards, 68.2/113, course/slope ratings, the initial nine holes were designed by committee in the 1920s with Randy Came and Shane Otto adding the new nine in 2003.
