Gates Park is a municipal golf course on the north side of Waterloo off Logan Ave at Donald St to the east.

The layout is parkland style design over slightly, rolling terrain with scattered trees lining the fairways. There is some water in the form of Virden Creek and several ponds in play along with a modest amount of sand bunkers. It plays from 5,568 yards to 6,839 yards, the Yellow tees are 6,382 yards, 69.1/113, course/slope ratings.
