Red Carpet is on the north side of town on Newell Street, adjoining Gates Park Golf Course to the south.

The layout is a straightforward, classic course along a few doglegs with scattered trees lining the fairways, a few holes with water hazards, and sand traps mostly around the greens. There are three sets of tees from 5,754 yards to 6,572 yards; the Whites are 6,266 yards, 69.6/119, course/slope ratings. It was designed by one of the early masters of golf course architecture, Tom Bendelow, who designed Medinah in Chicago, among others.
