Giants Ridge has two 18-hole layouts located north of Biwabik on the west side of Sabin Lake, an hour north of Duluth in Biwabik.

The Quarry marches through a former rock and sand quarry with holes named for area mines in the Mesabi Iron Range. Every hole is unique and isolated, providing impressive elevation change through fairways lined with trees, massive waste areas, boulders and outcroppings, and landform remnants of the mine. It was designed by Jeff Brauer in 2003 and is 7,201 yards, 75.6/146, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.

The Legends course, by comparison, is a rather sedate mountain-style parkland layout with thick tree and boulder-lined fairways, water hazards on five of the holes, and sand traps defending the fairways and greens. There are four sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,930 yards, 73.7/133, course/slope ratings, designed by Brauer as well.
