The Virginia GC is a little over an hour from Duluth, off US 53 on the north side of Virginia.

The municipal golf course is a parkland-style layout with the fairways defined by trees. Numerous ponds and a stream are in play, and sand traps defend most of the greens and the occasional fairway. It was designed by Hugh Vincent Feehan and plays to only 6,256 yards from the back tees, with course/slope ratings of 69.6/121 and two shorter tees.
