Glen Eagle is on the west side of Layton off the I-15 at 1700 South midway to the Great Salt Lake State Park.

The golf course is a wide open, links layout wandering through a residential subdivision, and while the homes are a distraction they're mostly set back far enough from the golf course. The layout is subject to the constant winds off the Great Salt Lake, and is along broad fairways and generous greens lined by numerous wetlands, water hazards, tall prairie grasses, and sand traps. There's tees from 4,805 yards to 7,065 yards, the Blue tees are at 6,115 yards, par 72, 70.2/115, course/slope ratings, designed by William Neff.
