Valley View is 15 miles north of Salt Lake City in Layton off I-15 at Exit 330 to the east.

The golf course ambles over a large tract of land along mostly natural corridors other than homes lining a couple of holes. The layout traverses the valleys and hills along broad, tree lined fairways with multiple ponds, and sand bunkers defending the greens and the occasional fairway in a scenic setting with the Wasatch Mountains in the background. It was designed by Bill Hull in the early 1970s with five sets of tees, the middle, white tees play to 6,264 yards, 69.6/126 course/slope ratings.
