Golden Oak Golf Course is about 20 minutes east of Binghamton off NY 17 to the south at Windsor on the west bank of the Susquehanna River.

The golf course is an older, parkland layout built in the 1950s with an entertaining mix of holes. There's long and short holes with drivable par 4s and reachable par 5s in two if you can avoid the trouble, and interestingly an island green on a par 4. It's generally tree lined fairways over a mix of rolling hills and level ground providing a number of holes with water hazards in play and a modest amount of sand bunkers defending the small to mid-sized greens. The course was designed by John and Jim McGinty and Paul Kern and plays to only 5,352 yards from the tips with a par of 70, 70.8/119, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
