The Gouverneur Country Club is on the west side of Hailesboro, off NY 58 to the southwest, just south of Gouverneur.

The course is a nine-hole layout from the 1930s that meanders over the natural, hilly topography of St. Lawrence County. The fairways are defined by stands or groves of old-growth hardwoods leading to ample greens with sparing use of sand traps and water hazards. It will play to 3,182 yards, 25.1/122 course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Sherrill Sherman.
