The Gouverneur Country Club is on the west side of Hailesboro off NY 58 to the southwest just south of Gouverneur.

The course is a 9 hole layout from the 1930s that meanders over the natural, hilly topography of St. Lawrence County. The fairways are defined by stands or groves of old growth, hardwoods leading to ample greens with a sparing use of sand traps and water hazards. It will play to 3,182 yards, 25.1/122, course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Sherrill Sherman.
