Governors Run is 1 1/2 hours east of St Louis in Carlyle on the west side of the Carlyle Reservoir with a championship level, 18 hole course and an 18 hole, lighted par 3 course.

The layout is through woodlands and farmland with the mounded fairways bordered by tall fescue. The front side is more open while the backside is along tree lined fairways with creeks and lakes impacting play on most every hole. From the back tees it can play to 7,013 yards, 73.9/131, with four shorter sets of tees, designed by Don Horrell.
