Grand Bear is 20 miles north of Gulfport off US 49 at Grand Way Blvd, east through a natural area bordering the Biloxi River.

The layout is over a large tract of land with broad, isolated fairways bordered by a combination of stands of pine trees, water hazards, wetlands, or natural waste areas. There are generous amounts of sand traps both along the landing zones and defending the contoured greens of various shapes and sizes. It was designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1999 and plays to a total length of 7,204 yards, 75.5/143, course/slope ratings, and four shorter sets of tees.
