Green Lakes is located in Green Lakes State Park just east of Syracuse.

The layout is a classic design on rolling, forested land on the south side of Green and Round Lakes. The broad, fairways are lined with large, mature trees and its 50 or so sand bunkers defend the fairways and greens set in a scenic, isolated setting. The course is 6,212 yards from the championship tees, 70.2/123, course/slope ratings with two shorter tee boxes, and one of Robert Trent Jones' Sr original course designs in 1936 when he was a partner with Stanley Thompson.
