Greenhorn Creek is located on the southwest side of Angels Camp in a resort, real estate community in the foothills.

The golf course is a parkland layout journeying along rolling and broad, oak tree-lined fairways with three water features and fingered sand bunkers positioned along the fairways and defending the greens. It can play to 6,749 yards from the tips, 73.2/142, course/slope ratings with six shorter tee boxes, originally designed by Don Boos and redesigned by Robert Trent Jones, II.
