Greenhorn Creek is located on the southwest side of Angels Camp in a resort, real estate community in the foothills.

The golf course is a parkland layout journeying along rolling and broad, oak tree lined fairways with three water features and fingered sand bunkers positioned along the fairways and defending the greens. It can play to 6,749 yards from the tips, 73.2/142, course/slope ratings with six shorter tee boxes, originally designed by Don Boos and redesigned by Robert Trent Jones, II.
