Gypsum Creek is just off I-70 about 35 minutes west of Vail partially within a real estate development.

The layout is situated in a scenic setting at 6,320 feet in elevation surrounded by the Red Table Mountains. Each hole is isolated and unique, but it's not walkable due to the distance between the greens and tees as well as the elevation change. The layout has a wide open feel to it with scattered trees along the fairways and tall prairie grasses at the borders with several holes fronting Gypsum Creek as well as sand bunkering along the fairways and greens. The course plays to 6,980 yards from the tips, 72.8/133, course/slope ratings and three shorter tees, a Pete Dye design.
