Haggin Oaks Golf Complex is located just north of downtown Sacramento off the Watt Ave I-80 exit. It features two championship golf courses, a teaching facility with over 15 golf professionals, a 100 stall, lighted driving range, five practice greens and two bunkers, and the range is open 24-hours-a-day during summer hours! The primary layout here is the Alister MacKenzie, parkland design from the 1930s that's been updated but little changed from the bones of the original layout. It meanders along broad, oak tree lined fairways with Arcade Creek in play on five holes and modest, heavily bunkered greens. It can play to 6,991 yards from the tips, 73.2/126, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees. The second course, Arcade Creek is a tame version of the MacKenzie layout with tree lined fairways, minimal sand traps, and Arcade Creek traversing the northern border. It was designed by Mac Mcdonagh and is 6,818 yards, 71.8/118, course/slope from the tips with four shorter tees.
