Highland Park is on the east side of Auburn about 30 minutes west of Syracuse located at the northern tip of Owasco Lake in the Finger Lakes Region.

It's a traditional layout over rolling hills along tree lined fairways with a sparing use of sand bunkering, a couple of lakes, and modest greens. There's three sets of tees, the longest is only 6,400 yards, 71.1/120, course/slope ratings. The course has been around since the 1920s as a 9 holer, but a second nine was added and the remainder redesigned by Geoffrey Cornish.
