The Highlands Golf Club is within an established, upscale retirement community in the Dove Mountain development north of Tucson off I-10 at Tangerine.

The golf course is a desert style layout wandering through the residential neighborhood with views of the Tortolita Mountains surrounding Tucson as well as downtown. The layout is interesting and challenging with modest elevation change and generous fairways on the front side while the back gains in elevation providing generally more character. The middle tees play to 6,088 yards, 68.7/129 course and slope ratings, an Art Hill design.
