The Hot Springs Country Club is in the Hot Springs National Park with two 18 hole championship layouts in the Ouachita foothills.
The original course is the Park, a resort layout with wide fairways, several water features, a limited use of sand bunkering, and smallish greens with mild undulation. It plays to 6,836 yards from the back tees, 72.8/124, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees. It was designed by Scotsman Willie Park, Jr in 1898 and renovated in 2001 by Ben Crenshaw.
The Arlington course is more challenging with narrow, tree lined fairways over rolling terrain along numerous streams and a pond with a variety of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers. It plays to 6,690 yards from the back tees, 73.9/127, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by William Diddle in 1927 and renovated by Coore/Crenshaw in 1994.
